Octoberfiesta 5K Race this Saturday

Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 8680 are hosting the Inaugural Octoberfiesta 5K race/walk and fun run on Saturday, October 17th. These events will be part of the all day celebration at the new church facility and school on Lumen Christi Lane. Lumen Christi Lane is off Jake Alexander Boulevard, just north of U.S. 70. The 5K starts at 9 AM and the fun run will kick off at 10 a.m. Registration for the 5K is $25 for adults, and $15 for age 12 and under. Fun run registration is $5.
All 5K participants will receive a $3 meal coupon, and the first 200 entrants will get a Brooks Dri-fit shirt and a pair of Wrightsocks. Fun run participants will receive a prize at the finish line.
Title sponsors are Food Lion, Wrightsock, JF Schultze Construction, Kut-Rite Landscaping and Lawn Care, and Brooks. Platinum Sponsors are the Weber Sales Group, Washko Family Dentistry, Cloninger Ford, Multi-Wall Packaging Corporation, Kathleen Boyd, DDS, and Vac and Dash of Albemarle.
Timing and results are being provided by the Salisbury Rowan Runners Club. Proceeds from this event support the Knights of Columbus and their outreach initiatives at Sacred Heart School and the ARC of Rowan.
