John Noble, a retired Rowan County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant, has been elected to another three-year term on the board of directors of the N.C. Law Enforcement Officer’s Association.
Noble’s position on the board is to lobby North Carolina state legislators to improve conditions in law enforcement training to reduce the time needed for retirement from 30 years to 25 years.
Noble also helps recruit new members and make decisions in-house for the association.
The association consists of approximately 1,400 members. Noble is a member of District III, which includes the southwestern portion of North Carolina.
Noble continues to work as a part-time deputy for the Sheriff’s Office and serves on the East Spencer Board of Aldermen.
