CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) ó Prosecutors have added a child endangerment charge against a Long Island, N.Y., mother accused of posting a suggestive Craigslist ad to target a 9-year-old girl.
Margery Tannenbaum, of Hauppauge (HAW’-pawg), is accused of posting an ad that said in part, “I need a little affection.” Authorities say she gave respondents the phone number for her daughter’s rival, generating at least 22 harassing calls.
Tannenbaum was charged in May with aggravated harassment. She was freed without bail after her arraignment Thursday in Central Islip (EYE’-slip) on that count and the new endangerment accusation.
She pleaded not guilty. Her attorney did not immediately return a telephone call for comment.
