HIGH POINT (AP) ó A man has died at a North Carolina hospital after a train hit a car, sending it into the pedestrian.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported that the man died Wednesday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The man’s name has not been released.
Authorities say the crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after the car went into reverse and onto the tracks. The train struck the car, which then struck the man.
The conditions of the people in the car and train were not immediately known. A call to a High Point Police Department spokesman was not immediately returned.
