Man sought in area bank robberies

CHARLOTTE ó The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a fugitive wanted for several armed bank robberies in the Charlotte region.
There is a reward being offered for any information leading to the arrest of Taj Maurice Pittman.
Pittman is wanted on two federal bank robbery charges and one state bank robbery charge. Pittman is accused of robbing the Wachovia at 1501 S. Cannon Blvd. in Kannapolis on Nov. 7, 2008. and the SunTrust Bank in Concord on June 18, 2008.
Pittman has a distinctive tattoo of a scorpion on the left side of his neck. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows where he is or has information that may lead to his arrest, please contact the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-377-9200 or CrimeStoppers at 704-334-1600.
