Man shot in leg on Shaver Street

Authorities were investigating a shooting early this morning, according to emergency radio communications.
The incident happened around midnight on Shaver Street. The victim was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center by ambulance with a wound to his leg, according to emergency medical responders.
A witness told authorities someone in a burgundy 2000 or newer Ford Mustang shot the man, according to the radio communications.
The witness told police police there were four black males in white T-shirts in the Mustang.
The men drove toward Bringle Ferry Road, the witness told police.
Authorities later pulled over a burgundy Mustang on East Georid Street in East Spencer and were working to determine whether it was the one the suspects were driving.
It was unclear early this morning whether the suspects were the ones inside the vehicle.
