Man shot at Salisbury intersection
A Salisbury man was treated at Rowan Regional Medical Center after being shot early Saturday on West Innes Street.
Antonio Jemell Sullivan was shot around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of West Innes and Craig Street, according to a police report.
Sullivan told police he had stopped or slowed at the intersection when someone shot him.
He drove himself to Rowan Regional. He was released from the hospital later Saturday.
Hospital officials notified police of the gunshot wound.
Salisbury Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said Sullivan was shot once with a small-caliber pistol, either a .22 caliber or a .32 caliber.
Police said details of the incident remain sketchy.
