Authorities are looking for three males, one of whom shot a man during a Wednesday night home invasion.
When Salisbury Police arrived at 127 Lilly Ave., they saw Melvin Pruitt, 33, sitting on a neighborís porch bleeding from his side. The incident occurred at 10 p.m.
Pruitt lives just a few houses down, at 125 Lilly Ave., with his brother, Michael, not far from Walgreens and West Innes Street. He said three men came to his front door. When he opened the door, one of the men shot him.
The suspects ran and got into a newer model Cadillac.
Another man, Wayne Small, was at the Pruitt home at the time of the home invasion.
Small said he was forced to get on the floor at gunpoint. Afterward, Small told police he went to the store for a beer to relax.
Pruitt was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he remains in critical condition.
Salisbury Police Chief Mark Wilhelm confirmed the department has received drug complaints at the Lilly Avenue home.
