Man charged with breaking into father's house

A 26-year-old Salisbury man faces multiple charges, including breaking into his father’s home and stealing a 50-inch TV.
Jonathan Paul Holshouser, 170 Eller Drive, was charged Saturday with two felony counts of breaking and entering and larceny. He is also charged with larceny of a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to information in warrants at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office, Holshouser broke into the home of his father, Jerry Wayne Holshouser, also 170 Eller Drive, and took a TV valued at $2,000.
He is also charged with a break-in a the home of Douglas M. Hill, Wildwood Drive, between May 9 and May 10, where police say he took a Play Station 3, a flatscreen TV and a Winchester 12-gauge pump shotgun.
Holshouser is also charged with possession of a Chinese SKS assault rifle on May 8.
He is also charged with felony possession of cocaine.
Magistrate Steve Julian set his bond at $25,000. His first court date is Tuesday in Rowan County District Court.
