Rock Hill, S.C., police have charged a man nabbed by China Grove police with robbery of an auto parts store there last month.
Rashard Boyd, 20, of Charlotte, has been extradited to South Carolina to face charges of armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a firearm during a violent crime in connection with the Aug. 7 robbery of O’Reilley’s Auto Parts, according to the Rock Hill Herald.
Boyd and two other suspects have been in the Rowan County Detention Center for almost a month since their arrest by the China Grove Police on Aug. 11.
During a traffic stop, police found two handguns in the car. After the arrest, officers noted similarities between the suspects and the description of the auto store robbers.
Law enforcement officers from multiple counties have interviewed the suspects working to link them to seven auto parts robberies in North and South Carolina.
In those robberies, two men wearing white T-shirts over their faces and brandishing guns carried out the robberies.
