Woodleaf firefighters responded to a fire at the Rowan County Landfill Tuesday around 8:30 p.m.
Firefighters initially encountered problems getting onto the property due to fencing and a locked gate.
Once firefighters gained access, they discovered the fire was coming from a bulldozer, according to emergency radio traffic.
The fire was quickly extinguished.
