‘Kiss the Kid’ for March of Dimes

The City of Salisbury March of Dimes team is hosting a “Kiss the Kid” fundraiser in support of the March of Dimes March for Babies campaign.
Several city employees and a representative from Downtown Salisbury Inc. have been selected as candidates to Kiss The Kid ó a baby goat. The community is encouraged to vote for their favorite candidate. Votes will be tallied and the winner will kiss a baby goat during the first band intermission around 8 p.m. during Earth Night Out in Downtown Salisbury, Friday, April 17.
Candidates participating in the fundraiser are: Dan Mikkelson (Engineering and Development Services), Jim Behmer (Salisbury Rowan Utilities), Randy Hemann (Downtown Salisbury Inc.), Rodney Harrison (Transit), Jake Sterling (Fleet Services) and Mike West (Salisbury Rowan Utilities.)
Votes are $1 per entry and are available at the following downtown locations: Handbag Heaven (100 W. Innes St.), K-Dee Jewelers (112 E. Innes St.), Karen L Cranford CPA, PC (119 S. Lee St.), Brick Street Tavern (122 E. Fisher St.), Southern Spirit Gallery (102 S. Main St.), Stitchin’ Post Gifts (104 S. Main St.), Thread Shed (131 S. Main St.), Hot Junk (205 S. Main St.), Frost Bites (207 S. Main St.), Queen’s Gifts (221 S. Main St.), Just the Thing (103 N. Main St.), Textile Products (119 N. Main St.) and Taste Buds (106 N. Main St.).
All proceeds from the Kiss the Kid fundraiser will directly benefit the programs and services of March of Dimes.
