Kennedy named dean at Cabarrus College
CONCORD ó Tim Kennedy has been named dean for institutional research, planning and assessment at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. Kennedy will oversee the planning, evaluation and accreditation functions of the college.
Kennedy earned two academic degrees from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas: a master of arts in medical sociology; and a bachelor of arts in sociology. He also earned a secondary social studies teaching certification from the State University of New York at Cortland.
Kennedy previously served as assistant vice president for institutional effectiveness, dean of arts and sciences, program head of social sciences and instructor at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. He spent 15 years as a program evaluation specialist for the N.Y. Office of Mental Health and the N.Y. State Health Department. He has served as an adjunct sociology instructor at Cabarrus College and Catawba College.
Kennedy and his wife, Julie, live in Salisbury.
He has three sons, one enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and two enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
