John Hart's 'The Last Child' debuts at No. 10 on NYT bestseller list

John Hart’s latest novel, “The Last Child,” has reached No. 10 on the New York Times bestseller list.
The list will appear this Sunday in the New York Times.
His previous novel, “Down River,” peaked at No. 18. He won the Edgar Award in 2008 for that novel. It also appeared on numerous “best of” lists, including The Times of London.
His first novel, “The King of Lies,” was nominated for an Edgar for best first novel and won the Gumshoe Award for best first novel. It was also nominated for the Macavity Award for best first novel.
“The Last Child” appears on the New York Times bestseller top-10 along with several bestselling authors such as John Sandford, Charlaine Harris, James Patterson and Maxine Paetro, David Baldacci, Chuck Palahniuk, the ubiquitous Stephenie Meyer and Alexander McCall Smith.
Hart is on tour with “The Last Child,” appearing in Southern Pines Thursday and then heading west to Tennessee and Mississippi, and then back to North Carolina the first week in June.
