Items are pawned under false pretense
A local pawn shop contacted the Rowan County Sheriff’s office to report someone had pawned goods under false pretense.
A representative of Security Pawn Shop reported four separate instances of someone obtaining money under false pretense. The incidents occurred between Dec. 10, 2008 and Sept. 16.
Other incidents or reports to the Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 16:
– Officers investigated a reported gambling or sports betting at a location on N.C. 152, Rockwell.
– Bernhardt Trucking, 380 Glover Road, reported the theft of a homemade trailer sometime between 8 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 16.
– David Troy Fennel, reported he recovered his stolen dog without incident from a Woodleaf residence.
