LANDIS ó An investigation is continuing into a one-vehicle accident that happened on Kimball Road around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Officer B.S. Linn of the Landis Police Department said he could not release the names of the two people involved in the crash because of the ongoing investigation. Police have not charged anyone.
The two were riding in a Geo on Kimball Road toward Main Street when the car ran off the right side of the road and struck a guy wire, power pole and fire hydrant.
Linn said the car then rolled over one time and came back to rest on its wheels.
The driver and passenger were both wearing seatbelts, Linn said. The driver was taken to NorthEast Medical Center in Concord, Linn said, and the passenger received treatment at the scene from EMS personnel and was released. The officer did not know the extent of the driver’s injuries.
No alcohol was involved, Linn said.
The Geo was totaled.
