I-85 lanes near Jake Alexander Boulevard to be closed Wednesday-Friday

The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close lanes on I-85 southbound near Jake Alexander Boulevard (Exit 75) in Salisbury beginning Wednesday at 9 a.m., weather permitting.
The three right lanes will be closed to allow crews to make pavement repairs. The two left lanes will remain open to traffic. Lane closures should be removed by 3 p.m.
Weather permitting, the lane closures will continue Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists are reminded to stay alert, travel at non-peak times and use alternate routes, when possible. Plan ahead before traveling by visiting the NCDOT Traveler Information Management Web site at www.ncdot.gov/traffictravel, or call 511, the state’s toll-free travel information line for current travel conditions.
