LEXINGTON ó Hospice of Davidson County will hold a “Friends of Hospice” Gala on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 7 pm. Honorary chairs, Peggy and Ed Hinkle, will host the event at their home located at 908 Country Club Drive.

The theme for this year’s fundraiser is “A Midsummer Night’s … Fulfilling the Dreams Shared by Friends of Hospice.” Proceeds will go towards ongoing programs and services provided by the agency.

CEO Lisa Hathaway announced that Peggy and Ed Hinkle and Talmadge and Ian Silversides have committed to match the funds raised during the event.

“Our agency is so appreciative of the generous offer made by both families,” said Hathaway. “With recent Medicare cuts and more to follow, we are especially grateful for the support shown by individuals and businesses in our community.”

The fundraiser will include a live auction of singular packages hosted by Dr. Lee Jessup, president of the United Way of Davidson County. A silent auction will also be held where guests may bid on unique items donated from area artists and businesses.
