Home damaged by fire while owner fights bees
An Old Concord Road home sustained minor damage in a fire Sunday afternoon.
Several units from the Salisbury Fire Department responded to the fire at 812 Old Concord Road, near the Arlington Street intersection.
Battalion Chief Jay Baker said the occupant was trying to get rid of bees and accidentally set fire to the exterior of the eaves of the one-story wood frame house.
Firefighters had to pull over some of the exterior siding to extinguish the fire.
