Hobos charged after hopping on freight train

Some modern-day hobos were arrested Thursday in Salisbury for hopping a Norfolk Southern freight train.
Charged with trespassing on the railroad right of way, riding on a train unlawfully and impeding, preventing and impairing the operation of a train were Horacio Gusman Ayala and Ovidio Ramos Murillo.
Both men are 36, and their addresses were given as the streets of Salisbury.
They were observed riding in a freight car of Norfolk Southern train 212, “resulting in the train performing an emergency stop.”
Riding a freight train violates General Statute 14-460.
The arresting officer was J.A. Talley of Norfolk Southern Police. The men were placed under $1,000 bond.
