The Hefner VA Medical Center is offering a new shuttle service in addition to its current valet services.
The shuttle service, which began Jan. 12, consists of two 10-passenger vehicles which will be in operation weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will run on a designated fixed route through all major parking lots. Passengers will be dropped off and picked up at all major building and clinic entrances.
Designed for easy access and exit, they have the ability to carry a limited number of wheelchairs and walkers. The medical center plans to expand the service with additional vehicles based on feedback from veterans and visitors.
VA police will coordinate the shuttle service. Customers can call 704-638-3333 with questions or comments.
