Former U.S. Rep. Robin Hayes of Concord has been appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy’s board of visitors, the Washington Post reported.
Hayes was one of a number of people who received appointments from former President George W. Bush during the closing days of his administration.
Bush also appointed his former U.S. trade representative, Susan C. Schwab, and his personal physician, Brig. Gen. Dr. Richard J. Tubb, to the Air Force Academy board.
Hayes, a Republican, lost his seat in Congress to Democrat Larry Kissell in November.
