Genealogical workshop offered next Saturday

Want to learn about preserving your family’s heirloom documents and pictures.
The Elizabeth Maxwell Steel Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is offering a free genealogical workshop Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Stanback Room of the Rowan Public Library on Fisher Street.
The workshop will assist in developing basic genealogy skills including how to preserve old documents and pictures.
DAR trained genealogists will conduct the workshop which is free and open to the public.
The workshop will also answer questions about membership in the DAR, SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) and CAR (Children of the American Revolution.)
