Garage cabinet shop destroyed by fire in Concord
CONCORD ó Fire destroyed a garage used as a cabinet shop at 517 Brownlee Drive S.W. early this morning.
The city of Concord Department of Fire and Life Safety were dispatched after a call from a neighbor at 6:29 a.m.
When they arrived, the one-story wood frame garage was fully involved. Nine apparatus were on scene, along with 23 personnel. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6:53 a.m. The garage was used as a cabinet shop and is considered a total loss.
Cabarrus Rescue and Cabarrus County EMS were on standby to assist with medical needs. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
