Fire investigated at abandoned house
Cleveland firefighters responded to a house and barn fire at 595 Hildebrand Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
The house and barn were reported to be abandoned structures.
Firefighters took a defensive stance to prevent the fire from spreading.
Firefighters also requested the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office or the Rowan County Fire Marshal respond to investigate.
Other fire departments were delivered water to the scene.
Hildebrand Road runs between U.S. 70 and N.C. 801 near Barber Junction.
