So you want to be in small-town politics?
The filing period opens July 6 for anyone interested in running for the Nov. 3 municipal elections in Rowan County.
Filing begins at 8 a.m. July 6 and extends until noon July 17.
All candidates in Salisbury, China Grove, Cleveland, East Spencer, Faith, Granite Quarry, Kannapolis (for residents living on the Rowan County side of Kannapolis), Landis, Rockwell and Spencer should file for their respective offices at the Rowan County Board of Elections office, 130 W. Innes St., Salisbury.
Candidates must be residents of and qualified voters in the towns or cities for which they are seeking office.
