A Salisbury man and his 16-year-old daughter both spent time in jail Monday night.
The Salisbury Police charged Damon Lee Bingamon, 40, of 4915 U.S. 601, with vandalism and, a few hours later, second-degree trespass.
His daughter, Avalon Sky Bingamon, also of 4915 U.S. 601, was charged with resisting arrest.
According to a police 00report, Damon Bingamon was accused of damaging a decorative wall mirror at Baylee’s Steakhouse inside the Salisbury Mall on Monday night. Police arrested Bingamon, took him to the magistrate’s office and the Rowan County Detention Center, where he was held under $300 bond.
He was charged with vandalism.
After posting bond, Bingamon said he wanted to file a complaint about the lack of a blanket, and he refused to leave, according to police reports. He was asked to leave for causing a disturbance. When he did not, he was rearrested and charged with trespassing.
While police searched and re-arrested Damon Bingamon, Avalon Bingamon approached her father.
The officer asked her to step back until he’d finished searching the father. She did not and was arrested.
Both were later released.
