Fall plant sale
The Rowan County Master Gardener Association will hold its annual Fall Plant Sale on Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Outdoor Learning Center and Greenhouse at the Cooperative Extension Office, 2727 Old Concord Road.
Fall is the perfect time for planting perennials. The selection offered will include plants ideally suited for this area. Included are varieties of Formosa azaleas, hydrangea, gardenia, camellia japonica and Sasanqua, crepe myrtles and a nice assortment of named variety hostas.
There will also be a limited quantity of specialty spring and summer blooming bulbs available. Prices will range from a minimum of $1 to $15. Come early for the best selection. For more information, contact the extension office at 704-216-8970.
