Second Presbyterian
Second Presbyterian Church, 732 Lincolnton Road, will be presenting a concert by The Voices of God’s Children of Winston-Salem, March 22 at 4 p.m.
Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served and a nursery will be available for children under 2.

Prophecy revival
CHINA GROVE ó The South China Grove Church of God will be hosting a Prophecy Revival March 22-25 and March 29-April 1.
Evangelist Eugene Sprinkle will be unraveling the mysteries of The Book of Revelation in each service, covering the entire book before the revival ends. Visitors are welcome to attend.
Services will include special singers from various churches.
Sunday service times are 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; and weeknight services are at 7 p.m.

Spring Revival
Spring Revival will be held 7:30 nightly, March 25-27 at Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
Guest speakers are, Wednesday: Elder Dwight Moore, Disciples for Christ Church, Charlotte; Thursday: the Rev. Alonzo Williams of Shady Grove Baptist Church, East Spencer; Friday: the Rev. Thomas Wyatt of Dorsett Chapel Church, Salisbury.

St. Paul’s Episcopal
Next Wednesday, March 25, St. Paul’s will offer its fourth of five Lenten programs.
This one will consist of a presentation about the care giving of “Stephen Ministry” and will be delivered by Brad Bradley. The public is invited to attend this program which begins at 6:45 p.m.
The evening will conclude with the monastic service of Compline after this 30 minute discussion.
St. Paul’s is located at 930 S. Main St. in Salisbury.
St. John’s Lutheran
St. John’s Lutheran Church is offering mid-week Lenten services based on Holden Evening with the 23rd Psalm as the focal scripture.
Each service centers around one verse of the Psalm.
The service will also include voices of congregants as they share reflections of their experience of knowing the Good Shepherd.
St. John’s traditional service is heard Sundays at 11 a.m. on WSTP 1490 and www.WSTP.com.
St. Matthews LutheranThis Sunday, the public is invited at 6 p.m for a soup and sandwich supper at St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
Afterwards, Pastor Gary Coble and members of the congregation will present a service on one of the disciplines of Lent, “good works.”
The fifth and final in the series on March 29 will be “study.”

Helping single parentsCHARLOTTE ó Christ Our Shepherd Ministries and Hickory Grove Baptist are sponsoring a “You Are Not Alone” conference for single parents. Free childcare and conference scholarships are available.
The event will take place at Hickory Grove Baptist Main Campus, Charlotte, Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Speakers include Laura Petherbridge, an international author and speaker and a featured expert on the DivorceCare DVD series; Michelle Borquez, founder of Shine Magazine and Host of I-Life Television; and Mike McCartney, founder and president of Singles of Faith.

Gethsemane Baptist
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in partnership with the Rowan County Gang Prevention Study at Livingstone College, Westside Community Foundation Inc., and the city of Salisbury Police Department/Project Safe Neighborhood will be sponsoring a teen summit on March 24-27.
The event begins nightly at 6 p.m. and will be held in the J.L. Stowe Fellowship Hall. Youth and teens ages 9-18 are encouraged to attend along with their parents/ guardian. Various age appropriate activities will be available. Refreshments will be served nightly.
Friday night’s theme is “We Celebrate Life” presented by Dr. Sir Walter Lee Mack Jr. pastor of Union Baptist Church, Winston-Salem.
Mack received his formal education from Elon College, Duke University and United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He also completed a continuing education program at Harvard University which focused on economic development and community revitalization where he was both a pupil and invited guest preacher. He has received numerous community awards.

Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church will be having a Missions Study this Sunday during the evening worship service at 7 p.m. Phyllis Foy, a commissioned missionary with the North American Mission Board [NAMB] of the Southern Baptist Convention, will be the guest speaker for the evening.
The Missions Study entitled, “Live with Urgencyń Sowing Together for Harvest” is in connection with the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering of the SBC. The offering goal for Calvary Baptist Church for 2009 will be $1,000.
Prior to the study at 7 p.m. in the church auditorium, there will be a light meal in the fellowship hall at 6 p.m.
Pastor Rick Cockerham invites the public to attend these services and announces that a nursery will be provided during the 7 p.m. service.

Trinity Wesleyan
Trinity Wesleyan Church Worship and Drama ministries present for the 5th year “The Victor,” an inspiring musical-drama about Jesus Christ … the King of Kings!
The drama takes place Friday, April 3 at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 4 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m.

ROCKWELL ó The third in a series of community Lenten services will be held at Lyerly Evangelical Church, 1320 Crescent Road, Rockwell, at 7 p.m. on March 22.
Dr. Johnny Boggs, pastor of St. Luke’s Reformed Church, will preach on “R.U. on the Tower or on the Fence?”
Special music will be by Lucas Merrell.
Participating churches are Shiloh Reformed Church, Faith; Lowerstone Church, Rockwell; St. Luke’s Reformed Church, Salisbury; and Lyerly Evangelical Church, Rockwell. The event is open to public.

Cowboy Church
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will host its monthly ministry, “Cowboy Church” this Sunday at 3 p.m.
Musical guests will include: Four For One, Melvin H. B. McCoy and Darrell Connor. The public is welcome to wear their favorite old jeans and western wear.

New Zion Baptist
The Fannye Ford Willing Workers Missionary of New Zion Baptist Church will have their annual Missionary Day Sunday at 3 p.m.
The speaker for this occasion will be Evangelist Joyce Williams of Shady Grove Baptist Church, East Spencer. She will be accompanied by her congregation and choir. All ladies are asked to wear white if possible.
