UNC Pembroke chancellor’s list
The following area students have been named to the chancellor’s list at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke for the fall 2008 semester:
Trey Thomas Archer of Mocksville; Christina Grandt, Landis; and Jordan Lilly, Salisbury.
Students must have a grade point average of 3.7 while passing at least 12 semester hours of course work to make the chancellor’s list.
The following students made the honors list, which requires a 3.2 average.
Kannapolis ó Gricelda De La Croz, Rakesha Johnson, Chris Spencer;
Mocksville ó Aaron Hollifield, Carrie Sain;
Mooresville ó Arthur Peacock;
China Grove ó Matthew Ingold.
December graduates of UNCP include Quinta S. Ellis of Woodleaf with a bachelor of arts in history; and Yetunde Akindahunsi of Gold Hill with a bachelor of science degree in biology.
Book fair
China Grove Middle School will hold a Book Fair Thursday, Feb. 26 through Tuesday, March 3. There will be a family night on Monday, March 2, and the fair will be open that night until 6 p.m.
