Catherine “Anne” Mabry, a rising senior at South Rowan High School, has been selected by Landis American Legion Post 146 to attend Tar Heel Girls State June 14-20.
At South, Mabry is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, vice president of the junior class, president of the Junior Civitan Club, and on the varsity cross country team, indoor and outdoor track teams.
She is a member of First Reformed Church and the Youth Group and the daughter of Kent and Dinah Brafford of China Grove.
After graduation, she plans to attend Catawba College and major in education.
