Texas Christian dean’s list
Having completed spring 2009 classes with at least a 3.4 GPA, David Hughes of Spencer was recently named to the dean’s list at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth.
WFU graduate
Clayton R. Honeycutt of Gold Hill graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor of arts degree on May 18. His major was education ó social studies.
He has been accepted into the Wake Forest University masters program on a full scholarship. He is the son of Tim and Deana Honeycutt of Gold Hill.
SCAD dean’s list
Holly Sexton of Salisbury was named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. for spring quarter 2009. Sexton is a fibers major and is seeking a bachelor of fine arts degree.

Woodberry award
John E. Kyger Jr. received the Robin W.A. Bredin Memorial Award for unselfish service to others and interest in a variety of extracurricular activities at his graduation from Woodberry Forest School on May 23.
He will attend Furman University and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Kyger Sr. of Salisbury.
