On April 16, Bostian Elementary AIG fifth-graders taught by Donna Rymer partnered with South Rowan High School students in Ginny Comer’s honors English IV class to host a Shakespeare Festival.
Students performed for the entire fifth grade student body and parents and guests. The high school students performed “The Tragedy of King Richard III,” and the elementary students recited lines from various plays by Shakespeare.
The culminating event included the high school students teaching the fifth-graders how to play some Renaissance games to reflect the time period.
Students were excited and engaged during this learning collaboration.
