EDC workshop will help towns with business recruitment
The Salisbury-Rowan Economic Development Commission will focus on helping municipalities during a workshop Wednesday.
The session is from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pinocchio’s Restaurant, 518 Salisbury Ave., Spencer.
Dr. Brad G. Guth, business and community development director from Lincolnton, will discuss small-town business recruitment strategies.
Jeannette Goldsmith, a principle with McCallum Sweeny Consulting, will discuss keys to successful industrial site development.
Robert Van Geons, executive director of the economic development agency, encourages municipal officials to attend or send a civic volunteer to join.
Van Geons said the session is intended to provide assistance to municipalities in helping achieve their economic goals.
