Staff reportVandals used a stolen car to damage a soccer field at the East Rowan YMCA, 790 Crescent Road, Rockwell.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, the vandalism occurred between Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Damage to the field was estimated at $800. A bench along wit the goal and net were damaged an estimated $1,150.
A 1996 White Toyota Avalon, which was reported stolen, was found on the field.
Other reports or incidents on Oct. 12:
– Kevin Scott Parridgen, of 200 Montclair Drive, reported the theft of $1,700 worth of tools from a toolbox on this truck. The theft occurred between Friday evening and Monday at 11:46 a.m.
Among the tools taken were various Craftsman wrench sets, a Craftsman tap/die set.
Reports or incidents on Oct. 11:
– Lynn Daniel Walter Sr., 2857 Hollywood Drive, reported the theft of a 2004 black 4X6G trail bike. The theft occurred between Sept. 27 and Oct. 11.
