There was a traffic fatality in Rowan County early this morning.
The accident happened about 12:45 a.m. on Mount Vernon Road at Needmore Road in the Needmore community. The site is near the Davie County line.

The N.C. Highway Patrol investigated the accident. A spokesman for the Highway Patrol said the investigating officer has the accident report, and doesn’t return to work until this afternoon.
