Drug charges lead to $82,500 bond

Salisbury police have charged a Long Street resident with multiple felony drug counts.
Shawn Fryal Jackson, 311 N. Long St., was charged Wednesday with two counts of possession of a controlled substance ó crack cocaine and marijuana ó and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances.
Jackson is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center with bond set at $82,500.
According to police, Jackson had cocaine and marijuana in his possession when officers served a search warrant at his house.
Other investigations or arrests:
– Eddie James Richardson Jr., 37, 928 S. Jackson St., was charged Wednesday with felony counts of sale or deliver of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance ó marijuana.
Police report he was in possession of 3.1 grams of marijuana and 11 rocks of crack cocaine.
– A Salisbury resident reported finding his stolen Ipod Nano at Frank’s Pawn Shop, 107 N. Main St.
– KMD Holdings, 299 11th St., reported the theft of items after someone cut a chain to gain entry to the property.
– An employee at Circle K, 101 E. Innes St., reported an attempt to pass a fake $50 bill.
