Deputies investigating pellet gun shooting

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident near a Kannapolis home.
Someone fired a pellet gun at the home of Howard Linker, 197 Cade Lane.
Investigators recovered the pellet gun.
Other Sheriff’s Office reports from Nov. 18:
– Eddie Ray Miller, 372 Fairfield Road, Mocksville, reported the theft of a Magic boat trailer, valued at $2,500, from a parking site on Goodman Lake Road.
The theft occurred between Sept. 4 and Nov. 18.
– More than $2,000 worth of items were taken from the Linda Kay Vanvleet home at 250 Johnson Dairy Road, Rockwell.
Items taken included gold and diamond jewelry and a color TV. Thieves damaged a door estimated at $500.
– Neely Tryon, 375 Chaffin Road, Woodleaf, reported the theft of a 270 bolt-action Savage rifle, a Mossburg 12 gauge pump shotgun, a 42-inch Samsung TV and other items worth $1,800.
Someone kicked in the side door to gain access to the house between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.
– Larry Eugene Beck, 17, was charged with injury to personal property for damaging a ballfield at 775 St. Stephens Church Road, Gold Hill, by driving through it and spinning tires. Damage was estimated at $500.
