Davie County Schools’ first Showcase to include activities, entertainment

MOCKSVILLE ó Davie County Schools will host its first Showcase on Saturday, Oct. 3, on the square in downtown Mocksville. Activities will start at 9 a.m. and continue through 2:15 p.m.
“We are so excited about this major event,” said Bill Campbell, public information officer for the school system. Student and staff entertainers will be performing at Junker’s Mill, located within walking distance at 105 Salisbury St.
Each school and some departments will have booths featuring highlights of activities taking place. Different PTAs and clubs from the schools will have booths as well. District-wide partners of the school system have also been invited to participate. There will be face painting for the children, food and entertainment for all.
To close the event, Davie High School will hold a homecoming parade to kick off Spirit Week. The parade will start at 1:30 p.m. in downtown Mocksville. Everyone is invited to come out early and enjoy all the activities.
