Curfew call: We’d like to hear from teens
The city of Salisbury is considering imposing a nightly curfew for children under 16, effective 11 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 12:01 a.m. -6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. During curfew periods, it would be unlawful for juveniles without adult supervision to be in public places, including restaurants, theaters, stores, bowling alleys, playgrounds, parks, streets, sidewalks and parking lots.
Curfew advocates think it will help reduce gang activity and encourage greater parental responsibility. If you’re a teen age 16 or under, we’d like to hear your thoughts on the curfew.
