Concord gun shop damaged by fire

CONCORD ó Firefighters were called out early Sunday morning to a gun shop fire on Roberta Church Road.
Units of the Concord Department of Fire and Life Safety responded at 4:54 a.m. Sunday to Eagle Gun and Range at 3789 Roberta Church Road.
Firefighters discovered smoke and fire in the attic.
A total of 10 units were dispatched to the gun shop and had the fire under control by 5:22 a.m., according to a fire department press release.
Mike Threadgill is the owner of the shop, which has seven employees.
Damage was contained mostly to the attic, with the ceiling and floor suffering water damage.
The store’s inventory, which includes guns, ammo and fishing supplies, sustained minimal damage.
