The Coca-Cola warehouse in downtown Salisbury will close next year, a company official said Thursday.
The warehouse was built as a bottling plant, and has been used as a warehouse for years.
A company official in Charlotte said the plant “wasn’t designed to be a warehouse.”
The warehouse employs about 40 people. Most of them will be offered jobs at the company’s Greensboro or Charlotte operations.
