Cigar-wine shop on planning board agenda

The Salisbury Planning Board will consider requests Tuesday for special-use permits, including one for a Havana Knights Cigar and Wine Shop at 117 S. Lee St.
According to articles of incorporation filed with the N.C. Secretary of State’s office, Dunkan R. Echevarria of 1077 N. Lilac Lane, Salisbury, is the registered agent for Havana Knights.
The Planning Board meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 217 S. Main St.
It also will consider a special-use permit for a proposed secondary dwelling at 702 Mitchell Ave.
In other agenda items Tuesday, the board will:
– Consider Novant Health Inc.’s request to rezone an acre at 102 Mocksville Ave., which is now split between two zoning classifications: Neighborhood Mixed-Use and Residential Mixed-Use. The hospital wants the parcel to be Residential Mixed-Use only.
– Hear a committee report on minimum lot widths on infill properties.
– Hear a committee report on what sidewalk requirements should be for industrially zoned properties.
