Liang, an acrobat, performed to a large, appreciative crowd Tuesday in the Stanback Room of the Rowan Public Library. The performance ó which included extreme plate-spinning and hula-hooping ó was part of the “Get Creative@RPL” summer program.
Liang’s husband, comedian and emcee Bill Patti, was part of the act.
A native of Wuhan, China, Liang began studying dance, gymnastics, and acrobatics when she was 4 and traveled around the world with the Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe.
She was awarded two gold medals for excellence in international acrobatic competition in Paris and China.
After moving to the United States, she was cast in a Justin Timberlake NSYNC video, which appeared as part of a live concert from Madison Square Garden. In 2007, Liang appeared on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent.” She has also appeared on “The Today Show.”
Liang will do another show at 10:30 this morning at the library’s east branch, 110 Broad Street in Rockwell.
