CHINA GROVE ó The town has narrowed its search for a new police chief to three candidates.
The Board of Aldermen has called a special meeting Monday during which members are expected to receive information about the finalists.
The board will meet in closed session. Personnel discussions are not public.
Brett Bass has served as China Grove’s interim chief since the firing of Hodge Coffield in May.
