Cannon School Young Authors winners
The following students at Cannon School have been selected as school winners in the Young Authors Writing Contest, an annual competition that encourages K-12 students across North Carolina to write creatively about a chosen theme.
Kindergarten: Dillon Casey (Huntersville).
First grade: Molly Morrison (Concord), Drake Griffith (Kannapolis).
Second grade: Anna Ruth Morrison (Concord).
Fifth grade: Mimi Wahid (Salisbury).
Eighth grade: Jake Flynn (Mooresville), Liz Wahid (Salisbury), Alex Enrique (Mooresville), Stephanie Williams (Concord).
Students’ entries will be sent to the county level for judging in November. County selections will go to the state level for consideration in January.
