Bridge: Morehead City tournament set

Morehead City’s 55th annual sectional tournament will be Oct. 23 to 25 at the Leon Mann Senior Enrichment Center, 3820 Galantis Drive. Prizes will be given at every session.
Becky Creekmore and Marie Pugh placed first in the weekly duplicate game last Tuesday at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: Dick Euler and Loyd Hill, second; Judy Hurder and Billy Burke, third; Gloria Bryant and June Evans, fourth.

The Euler/Hill pair defeated their East opponent’s three no trumps contract one trick for the best N/S score on this deal.
The Hurder/Burke pair defeated South’s four-diamonds-doubled contract six tricks for the top E/W score.
In the Evergreen Club’s October 9 duplicate game, Betty Bills and Betty Bonner Steele placed first N/S and high overall. Carol and Harold Winecoff were first E/W.
