MOORESVILLE ó Be on the lookout for pigs … 5,000 of them.
The Bottom Dollar Food “Hide and Reap” promotion has returned to Mooresville for the month of April.
Bottom Dollar Food will be giving away more than $20,000 in coupons and gift cards, as well as more than 1,200 free items over the monthlong promotion.
The Bottom Dollar Food coupons for $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100 will be stuffed into 5,000 piggy banks, which will be hidden from April 3 through April 25 at 18 different events around Mooresville.
One bank will have a coupon for $1,000.
The event launches today in the parking lot of Bottom Dollar Food, located at 235 East Plaza Drive. Customers can meet and greet the Bottom Dollar Food Piggy Bank character, as well as the Easter Bunny, and pick up a Hide and Reap events calendar.
There will be no piggy banks hidden today.
All coupons found in the piggy banks later this month must be redeemed at the Mooresville Bottom Dollar Food location before May 30.
Two of the 18 events will be held at the Bottom Dollar Food store:
– April 7 ó an exclusive hiding inside the store, 10 a.m.-noon. This is the only time that the banks will be hidden inside the store.
– April 22 ó an Earth Day celebration with reusable bags and prizes, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
