Blues and Jazz Festival on tap this weekend

Ron “Big E” Eldridge will emcee the 11th Annual Blues and Jazz festival set for Saturday in downtown Salisbury.
The event is organized by the Rowan Blues and Jazz Society and will run from noon until 11 p.m. in the 200 block of West Fisher Street in the Salisbury Post parking lot.
Bring your festival chairs and blankets and get ready to enjoy a few surprises from “Big E.î Last yearís surprise was the talented Homemade Jamz Blues Band, featuring Ryan, Kyle and 10 year-old Taya on drums. They are returning with their second CD and some new old-style blues.
The Salisbury Swing Band (co-sponsors of the festival) the Triad Youth Jazz Band and Joe Robinson will provide plenty of jazz.
Admission is $15.
