GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) ó Two adult caretakers are in a North Carolina jail on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of a four-year-old girl who lived with them.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported Thursday that 38-year-old Tonya Dobson Williams and her fiance, 37-year-old Anthony Ravon Duncan were arrested Wednesday. They are charged in the March 18 death of Kalli Martin.
Kalli wasn’t breathing when she was taken to a hospital where she died last week.
Police say six children were in the home at the time. Williams’ mother said her daughter was a good mother to the children and that she took in Kalli and two siblings when their mother went to prison.
Williams’ mother said she was devastated by the murder charges.
